Tirso de molina BARRIO DE MADRID CENTRO

In this space we see the statue of Orfeo, a replica of the one that is kept in the Archaeological Museum. We also find a small monument that commemorates the accession of Spain to European communities.

A little further south is the Tirso de Molina square, the neighborhood boundary on this side. Here we see the statue of the dramatist, the Teatro Nuevo Apolo and many flower stalls. And going up Doctor Cortezo street we will go to another of the important squares of the neighborhood: Jacinto Benavente.

From this square we would access the Letras district. But now our goal is in the east of the neighborhood of Sol. To go there, from the Puerta del Sol we must leave, next to the Bear and the Madroño, for the street of Alcalá.
